About Us

Trailblazers Inc. is a Singaporean multinational corporation that is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of footwear.

We have come a long way since its humble beginnings. What started as a little store has rapidly grown into a giant multi-national corporation. During that time, we have built a reputation for ourselves, creating ceative, unique and striking designs never before seen. This drew the attention of shoe enthusiasts worldwide, solidifying our position as a marvel of the shoe industry.

Here is the story of how we came to be.

The Beginning

The company started as a little nameless store on its own tucked away in a corner of Sembawang. The store was run by the late Mr Tan Ah kow. He was a cobbler who ran the store mending shoes as the main business, while designing his own shoes in the mean time. At the same time, he was also teaching his son Mr Tan Wei Han the skills to his trade.

The Spark

After Mr Tan Ah Kow passed away in 1987, ownership of the company was transferred to Mr Tan Wei Han. He decided to turn away from mending shoes and instead focus on creating original shoes to sell. The store was also given the name Trailblazers. Those original shoes caught the attention of the locals in the area, and our presence started to spread by word of moutn. It was at that point we established a strong position in the local shoe industry scene.

The Rise

As the company prospered, it started to expand into a fully-fledged corporation, opening more stores in the local malls. In 2002, the first overseas store was opened, in Perlis, Malaysia. Over the next few years, we were opening many more stores, local and overseas, and increasing our production to supply our stores with more shoes to be able to cope with the climbing demand. Today, we have stores in over 40 countries across 5 continents. We had also hired many more designers for our shoes, carefully selected to ensure their creations would suit our customers and be able to bring fresh and original ideas to give our shoes the "wow" factor. Our actions have solidified our recognitiion as a worldwide brand.
